Doctoral Program

The Graduate School of Chem-UGM for Doctoral Program was inagurated in the year of 1981, confirmed by The Decree of General Directorate of Dikti of The Department of Education and Culture of Republic Indonesia No. 153/DIKTI/Kep/2007, dated in September 21st, 2007.

Admission

To be accepted for enrolling the Doctor program in Chem-UGM, students shall have finished their master degree in Chemistry with minimum GPA of 3.25 or minimum GPA of 3.00 and have published at least 3 works in journal and/or national seminar in the field of Chemistry. As for students from another field, but still connected to the Chemistry, are required to have minimum GPA of 3.50 or minimum GPA of 3.25 and have published at least 3 works in journal and/or national seminar in the field of Chemistry. Note that the graduate students of Ph.D. program should show their TOEFL score of 500 or higher.

Curriculum

Doctoral students who have holding their Master in Chemistry should finish at minimum 40 credits, consisting of at least 8 credits for subjects, and 32 credits for dissertation with period for study of 10 semesters. Doctoral students who are holding their Master in non-Chemistry should finish at minimum 52 credits, consisting of at least 20 credits for subjects, and 32 credits for dissertation with period for study of 11 semesters.
