- Q: Is it possible for non-fresh graduate student to apply for the IUP program?
A: Yes, it is possible. The Department of chemistry gives opportunity for prospective students who have just graduated from their senior high school up to the last three academic years.
- Q: Is there any building fee for prospective student to join the IUP program?
A: There is no building fee. The only fees for studying chemistry within the IUP program are the registration fee at the beginning and tuition fee for each semester. The registration fee is around 1.000.000 IDR, while the tuition fee for each semester is approximately 20.000.000IDR.
- Q: When is the registration period?
A: The IUP program is opened for registration in three intakes. The first intake is between January and February, the second intake is March to April, and the last intake in an academic year is May to June.

A: The prospective students are required to show their senior high school certificate or diploma, academic transcript and a TOEFL score of 500 or IELTS score of 6.0.

A: The prospective student will follow a series of tests such as English proficiency test (Acept), Gadjah Mada Scholastic Test (GMST) and interview.
- Q: What are the minimal requirements to take part in the interview stage?
A: The prospective students should have a TOEFL score of at least 500 or IELTS of 6.0 and GMST score of 500.

A: The interview will be conducted offline at the Department of Chemistry.
- Q: Are the IUP students required to participate in international exposure activities?
A: The IUP students are expected to undertake or participate in international events where English is the main language of communication. The fees for participating the international exposure activities are outside of the usual tuition fee.
- Q: What is international exposure?
A: An international exposure is part of learning activities to give experiences for the IUP students in international communities. The international exposure can be one of the following forms:
- Participate in an international conference as presenter or speaker
- An online course in which there is an interactive communication between the students and the lecturer/tutors
- Internship in a higher education
- Short course
- Summer course
Other types of international exposure activities are also possible with the recommendation from the Department of Chemistry

A: The Department of Chemistry has many international collaborations with many universities for example the University of Birmingham (double degree program), University of New South Wales, University of Innsbruck, Hiroshima University, Hokkaido University, Aix-Marseille University.
